ORDINANCE NO. 538
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, WASHINGTON, EXTENDING THE PROPOSED SEWER FRANCHISE TO PIERCE COUNTY AN ADDITIONAL SIXTY (60) DAYS.

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is interested in pursuing a legal franchise for sewer services; and,
WHEREAS, the existing proposed franchise expires before Pierce County will have an opportunity to consider for adoption the franchise proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN:
Section 1 Extension of Ordinance No. 529. That the expiration of the franchise proposed to Pierce County, specifically in Ordinance No. 535, be extended an additional sixty (60) days.
Section 2 Effective Date. This Ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the title.
